Ferry Festa Rules and Regulations

By filling out the vendor application and registering, the Vendor confirms that they have read the Rules and Regulations established by the Festa Committee and hereby agrees to abide by same.

  • The Festa Committee reserves the right to deny any application that would conflict with the intent of the Festa. While the number of vendors offering similar products is not pre-restricted, the Festa Committee makes an effort to avoid too many vendors selling the same goods. Limits may be set in the future.
  • Conduct detrimental to the character and/or safety of the Festa will not be tolerated. Offending vendors must leave.
  • Businesses selling alcohol must abide by all SLA rules and regulations and provide a licensed, gated drinking area.
  • Breakable bottles and glasses are not permitted on the streets or sidewalks.
  • Silly string, stink bombs, fake cigarettes, poppers, and similar ARE NOT PERMITTED.
  • Each vendor space will be approximately 10' x 20' in a location selected by the Committee.
  • The Festa Committee’s sole responsibility is to provide the designated space to vendors. Vendors may not resell spaces or change assigned spaces without permission from a representative of the Festa Committee.
  • Vendors are responsible for set up and break down of their booths. No equipment, tent, or tables are provided.
  • No electricity is provided. Generators must comply with Village’s Noise Ordinance.
  • Vendors without stores in the area must arrive at the parking lot behind Village Hall via Oak Street between 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM for check in and assignment. Vendors arriving before 11:00 AM will have to wait until 11:00 AM.
  • Vendors will be permitted to drive vehicles onto the streets, which are otherwise closed, during that time period.
  • Vendors arriving after 12:30 PM will not have vehicular access to the closed streets. Vendors may leave early, but will not be allowed to bring vehicles onto the closed streets until 8:00 PM.
  • Free parking for vendors is available at the Village’s waterfront parking lot.
  • A shuttle bus is provided ferrying people between the waterfront parking lot and the Festa.
  • No cars will be permitted on the closed streets during the Festa.
  • Vendors are solely responsible for the payment of NYS Sales Tax.
  • Food vendors are responsible for obtaining valid Westchester Department of Health Permits and complying with all applicable rules and regulations of authorities having jurisdiction.
  • No refunds will be provided to vendors unable to participate on the day of the event.
  • In case of cancellation due to weather, as determined by the Dobbs Ferry Police Department, vendors will be refunded 50% of the fee paid, or can choose to apply the full fee to the next year.
  • By signing this application, the vendor agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the members of the Festa Committee, the Rivertowns Chamber of Commerce, the Dobbs Ferry Police Department, and the Village of Dobbs Ferry, its members, officers, employees, agents and representatives or damages suffered by any person as a result of the action of the Vendor.
