    The Festa Committee has met and is working hard to make this year's event better than ever. One difference this year is that the Committee is made up primarily of owners of downtown businesses and restaurants. In the past, the Festa was the product of volunteers working with the Downtown Improvement Committee to try to help the energy in the downtown. That has proven successful and we now have a number of very energetic downtown business owners. This year the Festa has been shifted into their hands. For a couple of years, we were handing out fish, but we were simultaneously helping the stakeholders improve their fishing skills. Now the stakeholders are positioned to make this their event. It is being done by them, not for them.

    This year's Festa is scheduled for September 29, with the event taking place between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Vendors can begin arriving at 11:00 AM. The streets will be closed at 1:00 PM, so vendors arriving after 12:45 PM will have to walk their things to their location. The streets will be reopened at 8:00 PM for vendors only, who must have their area clear by 9:00 PM. Vendors should check the link above "Vendor Information".
